Loving Hands was conceived at a birthday party for Glorian, whose grandson is a military medic in Germany . The first batch of presents was sent to the soldiers and arrived in early October 2005. Here are pictures of some of the items we sent.

Several of the women knit and/or crochet. We sent 18 hats, 6 pairs of slippers, 4 scarves, 12 caps, 60 cards, 17 rosaries, 8 quilts, 10 tee shirts, 10 pairs of socks, and lots of candy.
We sent 28 Diddy Bags,
which contain personal care items,
like toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks, hats, shampoo, soap, and various sundry items. We also make these for the homeless and distributed them in San Francisco on Christmas Eve and other times throughout the year.

Our sewers and quilters made 75 pillow cases for children who attended Camp St. Francis, and 15 baby quilts have been given to those in need. We’ve made quilts and caps for preemies, and scarves for the residents of the Lutheran Retirement Home.

Please join us! We meet the 2nd Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m. at
